1. Lt Stephen R. Thomas is sometimes credited with one confirmed victory and two probables (Shores, Christopher: Aces High, Volume 2 - A Further Tribute to the Most Notable Fighter Pilots of the British and Commonwealth Forces in WWII).
2. Lt Cdr David A. Smith is sometimes credited with two individuals and one shared victory (Shores, Christopher: c.d.).
3. Lt Cdr Michael S. Blissett is sometimes credited with one confirmed victory and one probable (Shores, Christopher: c.d.).


BAe Sea Harrier FRS.Mk.1

XZ451 serial 123 was the first Sea Harrier to be delivered to Royal Navy in Jun 1979. In 1982, while transfering to the Falkland Islands, XZ451 was painted in overall extra dark sea grey and changed the serial from 100, while deployed at 899NAS, to 006 under 801NAS while embarked in HMS “Invincible”. During the conflict with argentinians, LtCdr. N. 'Sharkey' Ward shot down a “Pucara” on 21st May and a C-130E “Hercules” on 1st June 1982. While it was piloted by Lt. A. Curtis, XZ451 shot down an enemy “Canberra”, awarding this Sea Harrier with 3 confirmed kills over Falklands. XZ451 crashed on 1st December 1989, during a training session close to Sardinia Island from HMS “Ark Royal” due to a control failure over the Ark Royal's sky-jump; the pilot Lt. M. Auckland from 801 NAS had to eject, safely.
