Comments:
  1. Squadron victory. The pilots who fired at MiG-15 on 1st December 1951 can be identified as Flg Off B. Gogerly, Flt Lt M. Scannell, Flg Lt G. Thorton and Flt Lt L. L. Cadan.
  2. Fratricide entry. On 2nd November 1951 Flt Lt L. L. Cadan RAAF in Gloster Meteor F.Mk.8, A77-911 claimed a swept-wing fighter damaged, but scrutiny of his camera-gun film confirmed his victim as an F-86 of the 334th FIS, which suffered at least one 20mm cannon-shell strike.

Gloster Meteor

Gloster Meteor F.Mk.8 'Elyana', S.No. A77-15, 77th Squadron, Royal Australian Air Force.

Kimpo, Korea 1951. Pilot - W/O Robert Turner. On 1st December 1951 P/O Bruce Gogerly flew this Meteor and claimed one MiG-15. However no one Soviet MiG-15 of 176th GvIAP were not shot down this day and Australians lost 3 Meteors and 1 pilot. On 29th January 1953 this aircraft was lost during tunnel attack.

Gloster Meteor

Gloster Meteor F.Mk.8 'Cap'n Mac', S.No. A77-868 (ex RAF WK715), 77th Squadron, Royal Australian Air Force.

Suwon, Korea, Spring 1952. This aircraft has borrowed the belly mounted external fuel tank from another Meteor in the unit A77-157.

Gloster Meteor

Gloster Meteor F.Mk.8, S.No. A77-728 (ex RAF WA951), 77th Squadron, Royal Australian Air Force.

Korea, 1950-1953. The plane delivered to RAAF on 21st February 1951. It was served in Korea with 77 Sqn and heavy landing at Kimpo Korea on 27th October 1953. Converted to components.

Gloster Meteor

Gloster Meteor F.Mk.8 'Black Murray', S.No. A77-446 (ex RAF WA783), 77th Squadron, Royal Australian Air Force.

Kimpo, Korea, 1950-1952. Pilot - Sgt. Kenneth Murray. He flew 333 sorties during the war. This is squadron record (and probably record of whole war).
The plane delivered to RAAF on 12th February 1951. It was served in Korea with 77 Sqn. On 16th February 1952 it was hit by Ground Fire and broke up at low altitude in the Haeju area. The crew; Richard George Robinson. Struck off on 14th February 1952.
